Visitors often ask locals where you can rely on the food to be consistently good
at prices that don't blow a hole in the pocket.

The answer is "The Hungry Horse" of course, because ...

It's a really good place to eat! The dishes are refreshingly imaginative and cooked with care, there's a constantly changing specials menu, and there's also a chance to sample the wine of the month FREE! Co-owner Nick Hood is keen on wine, and believes it should be sold at reasonable prices. There's a range to suit all pockets.

The locals and lots of visitors keep coming back because of the intimate and tasteful atmosphere. Friendly, uncomplicated service that is not intrusive. A place to eat and drink run by a couple who genuinely love food and wine and serving high quality at realistic prices.

And in these days of traceability where diners want the reassurance that the produce comes from reliable sources, what can be more reassuring than the knowledge that everything comes from just nearby; fish straight out of the sea at Newlyn, livestock from local Cornish farms together with Lamb from Nick and Rachel's flock of pedigree Ryeland sheep.
